Buckeye Intermediate School

ONE SCHOOL ONE BOOK

We will also be hosting a movie night on November 22, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the elementary gym to celebrate the end of our reading event. Please complete THE RSVP FORM if you plan to attend.

Our school is taking part in a special community wide shared reading event. Every family will receive a copy of the same book-Roald Dahl's, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-and will be asked to read it together at home over the next few weeks.

Reading aloud at home is valuable, because it better prepares your child to be an effective reader, and it is also a fun worthwhile family activity. With this program, we aim to build a Community of Readers at our school. Everyone-students, parents, teachers, even administrative staff-will all be reading along together.

Your family will receive a copy of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at a special school wide assembly thanks to a generous donation from the Buckeye Education Foundation! Along with the book, each child will receive a PACKET that contains a reading schedule to help you keep up at home.

The PACKET also contains daily trivia questions to encourage and reward our readers! Students are invited to complete the daily trivia and enter their paper for our daily drawings. We will also be hosting a movie night on November 22, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the elementary gym to celebrate the end of our reading event. Throughout this month, everyone will be talking about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Follow our One School One Book Journey on TWITTER, INSTAGRAM, and FACEBOOK

Listen to your Buckeye Intermediate School teachers and staff read chapters of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and follow along!
