FALL FUNDRAISER 

Buckeye Intermediate School is selling a variety of food items, including French bread pizzas, cookie dough, pretzels, and much more. All eligible students were given a fundraiser catalogue on September 11. The sale ends on Wednesday, September 26.

Many more items are available online and you may pay via credit/debit cards online. Buckeye Intermediate School's ID is DGF18BISMED. Online orders must be completed by October 26. Register for online orders HERE

All money is due November 9. Please write one check, payable to Buckeye Intermediate School for your entire order.

Products will be delivered October 24 from 4 pm - 7 pm (parent-teacher conference night). You must pick up your order on October 24. Items are delivered frozen and canot be held at the school overnight.

LATE ARRIVAL INFORMATION 

In our ongoing effort to reduce the amount of teacher professional development during the school day as well as reducing the amount of time substitutes are in our classrooms, we are again implementing seven late arrivals to the school year.

These dates are on the back of the school calendar: September 12 October 3 November 14 January 16 February 13 March 13 and May 8.

School will start two hours later on these dates. If your child rides a Buckeye School bus they will be picked up two hours later than their regular time. School drop off will be 10:20 am for Primary and Intermediate students. School dismissal times will not be affected.

Our first Late Arrival is this Wednesday, September 12, 2018. The start of school will be delayed 2 hours.

Buckeye Elementary car riders will begin to unload at 10:20 am. The start of school for the Primary, Intermediate and Preschool is 10:35 am.

AM Pre­school hours will be 10:35 ­am arrival and 12:20 pm dismissal. PM Pre­school arrival will be 1:40 ­pm and 3:25 pm dismissal on Late Arrival Days.

All students (except AM Pre­school) will be dismissed at the regular dismissal time. If you have any questions please contact your child’s building. 

 


 

SCHOOL PICTURE INFORMATION

Buckeye Intermediate Picture Day is Thursday, September 27. Order online before Picture Day with your Buckeye Intermediate Picture Day ID WP088035Y0 (the number zero, not the letter O) at mylifetouch.com . 

If you do not order pictures online, fill out the parent order form completely, enclose the exact payment, and return to Buckeye Intermediate School on Picture Day (Thursday, September 27). Enclose cash, money order or check made payable to LifeTouch inside the parent order form. 

Order forms were sent home with all Buckeye Intermediate students on Thursday, September 6. If you need another form, please contact the Intermediate office at x 4337.

Your username is your student ID (this is the same number as your child’s lunch code, and it is available on report cards, in Progress Book, and in PayForIt) & your password is your student's birthday (MM/DD/YYYY) make sure to include 8 digits in the birthday and the two backslashes. 

Because of the important nature of information contained in Registration Gateway, students of parents who have not completed verification will not have access to the following:

Students will not have access to the District Computer Network or Internet for class activities. 

 


 

STUDENT FEES

School fees for students Grade 4-6 is $50. Students must pay all past and current year's school fees. Students with unpaid school fees: 

- will not receive report cards

- will be ineligible to participate in school-sponsored fundraisers

- will be ineligible to attend school field trips, including 6th Grade camp

Payment can be made with cash or a check made payable to Buckeye Intermediate School. Parents may also pay online using the online payment system, PayForIt.net

 


 

2018-19 SIXTH GRADE CAMP 

Your 6th Grade student will be ineligible to attend 6th Grade camp if they owe any past or current school fees. This includes workbook and tech fees, past due fundraiser payments, and library/school lunch fees. If you have any questions regarding your student's fees, please contact Ms. Moore at the Intermediate office via kmoore(at)buckeyeschools.org or phone x 4339. 

This year's 6th Grade camp dates are Monday, October 8, through Wednesday, October 10 at Camp Nuhop in Perrysville, Ohio. Additional camp information and camp forms were sent home with all 6th grade students on September 6th.

Parent chaperones will be chosen to supervise and monitor all of the students who attend 6th grade camp. Chaperones will be chosen via lottery. All parent chaperones will be required to pay for a background check and the cost of camp. They must also spend the night overnight for both nights of camp.

CAR RIDERS

If your child will be a car rider, please send a written note to the school. Please do not email the teacher or other staff members. If the regular staff member is absent, substitute staff do not have access to email.

If your student will be a regular car rider, please send a written note to the school and call the office at ext 4337 for the required yellow student placard to be placed on the dashboard of the vehicle picking up your student from the car rider line. 

 


 

STUDENT ABSENCES

Please remember to call the school absence line at ext 9204 to report when your child is absent from school due to an appointment or an illness. Please help us make sure your children are safe by calling the absence line. Please do not call the Buckeye Intermediate office or email. 

 


 

BUCKEYE LOCAL SCHOOLS TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT

In an attempt to improve communications with parents, students and staff we are utilizing the REMIND notification system. Remind is a free, safe and easy­ to ­use communication tool that is intended to assist our Transportation Department to instantly alert parents, students and staff with one­way text messaging.

The Remind notification system will not take the place of School Messenger. Remind will be an additional communication tool and will hopefully communicate when our buses are running late for pick­ up and/or drop ­off.
